<<<<-------------That is the question. huh.gif

I have driven through water at Billing lake and other locations many times and never had a problem, but since i've changed my road vehicle whenever i come close to a bit of water the alternetor start to ...flap.... panic and have an anxiety attack causing the battery light to come alive mad.gif . Whats going on...could it be that they are different alternators or some kind of wiring fault like a bare wire......lol ? wink.gif

Grateful for any imput. biggrin.gif

Mike.

Norally when i pressure wash my old gal's the light will stay on a while as the water bridges the air gap between the field coil and armature also the brushes on the slip ring like to be kept dry to assure contact. After the truck has been driven a few mile's thing's dry out and she will charge not a problem in my case anyway.
Just my veiw's.R-Rose.
