Hi All,

Hope you had a good Xmas.

Haven't been out in the the old SWB for a while and I have some virbations from the front end, thought it was the tyres, but seem ok and as I was driving home tonight it sounds worst!.. the engine seems ok.. maybe it's the axle or the drive shafts ( jacked, up spun the wheels, seems ok)or the prop shaft..or the Transfer box
Never come across this before, maybe someone has?? sad.gif

Any ideas would be greatfully received.

Sort of thing that usually does this are the prop uj's. Chock the wheels and let the brake off. Grasp the prop at either flange and twist in opposite directions. Chances are you will see a little room in all three areas - slider, and both joints. If it is still not noticeable then do the twist on each uj seperately. If still not sure try taking the front prop off. Vibrations can travel, so best check the rear too. Another point to check is that you don't have a stone stuck between the crossmember and gearbox as this can cause vibes too, although this would occur constantly.

Thanks Deano,

The weather looks good today so I'll get out there and have a look, before the football starts!
