After helping setout the 10k run at Audley End House on Saturday 9th and marshalling etc on Sunday 10th September I received the following letter of thanks from the event organiser. The full letter will be printed in the next edition of Exploits.

Dear Essex Land Rover Club,
On behalf of all of us in the Cancer Research UK 10k team, I’d like to say a huge thank you for Essex Land Rover Club’s support at our Audley End House run. We had a fantastic 600 participants taking part in the challenge, and together they have raised over £40,000 for Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.
The money will go a long way towards helping us cure cancer faster through world-class research. At Cancer Research UK our world-class doctors and scientists are working together to push through new and effective treatments for cancer faster than ever before, and to prevent more people from developing the disease. Together we will beat cancer.
This event would not have been possible without your help, Kevin, Fred and Margaret in particular, who worked the whole weekend providing Landrover support on the route. We truly appreciated every minute you gave us.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again at Kentwell Hall near Sudbury on 7th & 8th October. We don’t want to overdo it, but any volunteers would be very very welcome!
Further offers of help on the 7th & 8th October at another very nice venue would be very welcome, although this is the Sudbury trial weekend.
Anyone wishing to help should contact me via email or phone and I can let the event organiser how many helpers he may get.
