The annual Shakedown is planned for December 27th, as usual, at Mid Essex Gravels.

To those who've been before the arrangements won't come as a surprise, but for those Shakedown virgins, here's the details / rules:

+ The gates will open about 10.00, and we would like the site to be clear by 16:30.
+ Entry is £20 per vehicle, but ALL drivers MUST be signed on, and be club members.
+ You can drive whatever you want, as long as it achieves basic safety requirements - if you have any doubt, contact one of the scrutineers before Christmas.
+ There will be marshals on site (clearly identifiable!) and you have to do what they ask in terms of your driving, otherwise you will be asked to leave the site.
+ There is a nominal speed limit of 10mph on site at all times
+ Enjoy the day.

Marshals - We need some more marshalls - if you want to be a marshal, please book in directly with Rob Hunt BEFORE christmas, and not via the forum. Remember, you are there to work as a marshal, not to get a free day's driving.Marshals should be on site from 9.30

Everybody else - when you are on site, be aware of where others are driving, and the fact there will be lots of pedestrians, particularly little people - this is a family event.

There is a footpath on site - pedestrians have right of way on this at all times. If you don't know where the foot path is, please ask one of the marshals.

I will actually attend as i remembered it was on this year and i'm not working and i only live 1/2 mile away
