I've heard from Southern that the entries close at the end of this week. This is rather odd as the entry form still has not been posted on their website. I've contacted the webmaster about it. I guess they will have to extend the closing date.
If you are thinking of entering, or are not sure what the event is - here is a breif summary:
It is a 2 day CCV trial, 10 sections per day, with camping. There are no individual entries, only teams of 3 drivers. Each team can use between 1 and 3 vehicles, and can use another team members vehicle if theirs breaks. Scoring is simply the sum of the indivdual scores giving the team score. I don't think the sections are any more difficult than a normal Essex LRC CCV. The event is held at Eastnor Castle near Ledbury, but the site is excellent, and well worth the trip. Last year we had 2 teams entered which were:
Team 1:
Paul Steward
John Berry
Jim Bushell
Team 2
Barry Kay
Richard Garwood
James Hartley
Hopefully we will have the same teams and perhaps a 3rd team? Any volunteers?
Also - they are always looking for marshals, so if you can't make up a team you can still come along and get involved!
