2004 LONDON TO BRIGHTON

Hi all, as you can tell I went and participated in the London to Brighton run. Great Run - Great day out!

Well for all you Landie fans heres my brief report.

Okay so alitlle about myaself. Well a name may help and I'm alive (I think!!!) anyway that name - Anthony Wall. As for my Land Rove I have a 110 V8 3.5litre
Ex-FORD worker (Dagenham) with 23 years service took early-retirement; living of the wife at the moment shes doing okay I get sweets as well!

I went with my brother, his daughter, my wife, and dog (big woof woof - german shepard). Got to 'Palace okay, must have just gone eight in the morning, still we found two 90's on the way. So there we are following each other, all thinking the other guy knew the way, big mistake, we ended up asking a tanker driver in a garage.

We booked in with Shirley, and yes got some pics, left around nine fifteen I was number 187 to leave Cyrstal Palace. Good journey there were runners on the road waving to us.
When we topped up with petrol a few of took us tooting away. Wasn't raining till we got just outside Brighton; then the heavens just fell upon us.
The rest of the joourney was okay we just had to take it easy with the rain; many just followed us, guess they didn't have to do any navigating that way.

Got to Brighton, me brother jumpped out the car took a pic went for a tea and just left us to get on with it o and park, charming!
We had a picnic in the back so it weren't to bad even with the rain for most the afternoon. Still we had a quick walk round, pier and all, camera in hand.
They startted leaving around half five, so that was it all over.

O, had fun and games on the way home, heading down the M23 only got a puncture. Had to learn how to use the jack for the first time, interesting!
Two Landies stopped to lend a hand. My brother waved the first on saying we're okay, the second I asked to help with bits; he had a flashing amber light which help - Health & Safety you know. Said to me brother I'm heading straight home in case I get anougther puncture, you guessed it got the second puncture just as I pulled into my drive do'oh, only spotted it the next day.

Well now for the piccies, so enjoy.

Well attach one pic now, then attach a few more to a second e-mail.
