Right. Let's have your views.

1) Should we hold an event over the 1st May Bank Holiday weekend in the future? Is it wanted so soon after the Easter shindig, or is there too much else happening that weekend that members want to attend in preference to our event?

2) Is Mentley Farm the right for a long weekend event? (Views from those that have actually been there preferred...)

Personally speaking I think its a combination of factors. Mentley farm is is a bit of a way to travel to with a below average site compared to other sites and is relatively close after Easter.
Not in my case but it might be a weekend off roading at Easter means people have to/want to spend a weekend with family and/or doing other things.
Mentley farm is not exciting enough for trialling for me. As a base for a weekends camping with some greenlaning and a social event seems more inviting.
In short not a particularling good trialling site.

Mentley Farm is a good venue for camping and social but I'm afraid I have to take up the point that it is too soon after Easter and everyone needs to wind down from such a massive workload.

We, as a family, usually try to balance activities so that we are not "Land Rovering" every week-end.

This may also be a good alternative AGM Venue if Homesteads was not available for any reason.
