What weekend and what day is the Tyro?

And how damaging is Mid Essex Gravel I have never been there?

Kevin 4x4dj- 09-20-2004
Dates for the event are Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October

TYRO is non damaging and is on the Saturday. It's suitable for all marques.

Signing on from 10.30am with trial starting at 12.00

If you have never trialled before it's a good site to start at. Make yourself known when you arrive and someone will talk you through how it's run. Someone will always advise you and talk you through anything you want to know. An experienced driver can sit with you if you want smile.gif

You will need recovery points front and rear and an additional throttle spring to pass scrutineering. Rear towbar is fine. Front should be jate rings or similar. A spring from the last linkage on the carb/pump to ensure throttle will shut. Sounds a bit daunting at first but it's VERY simple really. If you want to talk it through, call the scrutineer or another club member who will be happy to help.

RTV and CCV on the Sunday with signing on from 8.30 with start at 10.00.

Nice to have you along smile.gif

Karl Reilly- 09-22-2004
Hi Squidge

The site is 'normal car' friendly and spectators of all ages are welcome.

In a tyro trial, children over two can be a passenger provided they are in a forward facing seat and properly strapped in/restrained.

See you there
Karl.

Sign me up for the Tyro.

It will be my second ever trial and I hope it is slightly less muddy than the tyro at easter.
