national 2008

Hi i am thinking about entering next years nationals,does the club do a group booking or is it up to everyone to sort it themselves,i see on the web site they think it will be fully booked by september.

No group booking as such. Everybody sends off their own form. Somewhere on the form it should say which club you would like to camp with (hopefully you'll say Essex), and it should ask you which club you will compete as (again, I would hope you say Essex).

As to being fully booked by September...! They're having a giraffe.

My interest was piqued.. I had a look at the website. It says:

BOOKING NUMBERS

Due to the excellent entry response, on the 3rd July 2007 Booking Number 205 has been placed.

If this early level of entries continues, we predict that the CCVT will be full by October (possibly earlier)and the RTV by November.

Comp Safari entries are a little slower but the prediction would be late December.

However - all is not lost!

To save disappointment for those that don't heed the "book competition places early" warnings, we may introduce a Senior's Class in the Bike Trial!

You have been warned!

cheers for the info,as to your reply i will put camping with essex and ccvt to.after a chat with karl and i believe it was richard at mid essex my trialler is for sale due to the 2" mistake on the chassis(not done by me)i am in the middle of a deal to buy a 80"leafer with arc log book so hopefully i should be appearing at your trials soon.cheers

Just found your forum and read it with interest. As for having a giraffe, booking number 225 was placed today, and I have a very reliable source who assures me these figures are correct.

They are determined to fill the competion places sooner rather than later which is why they have carried out such good marketing so early.

As you have already found out I think next years National could well be over subscribed so not wanting to be left out I have already made my booking.

Eastnor is a brilliant site for camping and the competition land has not been used for over 15years so I am informed.

I also know that the mroc are very well organised and will put on a very good event (hopefully) with a special beer brewed by one of its own members.

Thanks for the update Richard & Ruth.

It would be great if you could let us know through this forum when there are updates or new information about the National.

The on-line booking system for the event is very easy to use as well. So much so, that I have claimed entry number 215 for the CCV.

Given MROCs history of running the Nationals previously, and the well respected Majors trial the event should be something pretty special.

Thanks you for your kind words! We will be at the Majors this year - maybe catch up with you guys?

Glad you have booked already - we seem to have had quite a few bookings recently from your neck of the woods.

We will try to keep you updated on the forum with anything important, but check the website now and again..... the numbers on the bookings page are generally updated on a Monday.

Good to have the feedback on how you feel the booking form works. Any (constructive) comments gratefully received!

just done my booking for the nationals the booking number is up to 243

From the National website:

Due to the excellent entry response, on the
13th August 2007
Booking Number 366 has been placed.

To date, we have the following
competiton places left for booking:

RTV: 37 places
CCV: 28 places
Comp Safari: 57 places

Bookings are accepted strictly in the date order in which they are received, whether via the
E-booking Form or through the post. - So get the entry in using the online form, and then make sure you pay within 30 days to reserve your place...
