We may be able to organise a training day for those of you with a winch.

This would give some instruction of safe practice to new users and the opportuninty to work together for teams planning to enter the winch challenge at Easter.

This all depends on how many members are interested and what can be planned in the future before the Easter event.

Those interested, let me know and if there is enough I will get something organised in the new year.

So far I have interest from...............

Kevin (winch vehicle)
Derek Herbert (winch vehicle)
Jan and Pete Tresadern
Jim Bushel
Paul Warner (winch vehicle)
Fred Greaves
Paul Furlong
Ralph and Sue Coulson

Interested in what?

I assume you are talking about Winch Training? wink.gif

What happened to Hi-Lift Jack training or instruction?

Good idea about hi lift training too.

I have yet to speak to an instructor but my idea was to have a morning session talking about and showing the basics of winch use and recovery. Then followed by the afternoon session practising what has been learnt and getting familiar with the equipment. This could include the use of ropes for recovery and hi-lift as well.

The following day I was hoping to arrange a couple of challenges to allow more use of winches for recovery and practise teamwork for those entering the Easter winch challenge.

I will keep those interested up to date and informed as soon as I have made some arrangements and have more information.

NOTE..... You must be a club member or at least a member of an MSA affiliated club to attend.

All those interested in the winch/recovery training.

I have arranged for instruction in the proper use of winch's and some practice before the Easter interclub event. The final date has yet to be fixed but will be over two days at a seperate weekend to any other events.
I will contact those who have shown interest so far and if you want to be added to the list contact me on Kevin4x4dj@aol.com OR 07850 169605. I will advise of the date as soon as it is confirmed.

It will consist of the safety aspect and the use of all equipment concerned in the proper manner. All vehicles fitted with winches will get the opportunity to use them during the event. You do NOT have to have a winch fitted to attend the training weekend as it is open to all club members (or members of an MSA affiliated club). If you want any more information please check the forum on the club website or contact me directly

This training event is quite popular and just about full. ohmy.gif

If you want some training let me know so I can arrange another session as we are keeping the groups small.
We won't turn anybody away, you may just have to wait for the next session.

Remember though, you must be a club member or an MSA affiliated club to attend. smile.gif
