unsure.gif rolleyes.gif Hi ,Yeah I went on the Saturday, and was VERY impressed at the way Brian and Paul put it across very well done!! We did the non-mechanical stuff first,Hilifts turfors ,hand winches and particularly a very useful knot for hand lowering and control of objects containing precious things -like injured peeps in a damaged vehicle.also LOADS of don'ts don't step over winch wires ,don't rush recoveries, etc Brian and Paul had put together a handbook(actually some printed sheets)but informative all the same,as homework, but sadly old bones didn't like the cold wind, and also Blunderbus looks to have blown a head gasket,so we were not able to attend on Sunday. I have to thank Sue for running up and down to make me feel warm and again to Brian and Paul for a very useful day .If they do it again, try to attend ,perhaps next time,Brian may let Paul get a word in!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif B.F.G blink.gif

Putting into practise just about all we learnt the previous day.
It was well worth it and not just for those with winches.
If I get the copy sent in time there should be an article in LRM (april) if not it should be in the next issue.
It will certainly be in exploits.

Another training weekend has been spoke about and will probably be in the autumn due to Brian and Paul being busy with recovery events over the summer.
Some names are on the list already and I will keep those informed of whats happening. If you want to be included let me know so we have an idea of numbers.
This is proving to be very popular and we may well need to add more than one date.

Well done to those who did attend and those showing an interest.
Safety as well as fun is important to the club.
It also enables more members to expand their experience and it's how I get to marshal (and drive around all day) at winch challenge events biggrin.gif
